Honesty誠實 Who won the Prize?

Sipping his coffee in the comfortable lazy boy, Captain Cat heard some noise from his back yard.
He walked out to see what was happening.

attachments/200902/6950038133.jpg

There he saw his nephews and niece surrounding a little mouse.
They were discussing about who could get the mouse
They were going to have a contest.
This was the rule of the contest:
Whoever told the biggest lie could keep the mouse.

Captain gave them a ten-minute speech on the importance of being honest.
He began with, " It is sinful to tell a lie. "
And he ended up with " When I was your age, I never told a lie."

 "
There was a complete silence.
" Ok, give him the mouse." Said all three of them.

A Pig or a Princess(一隻豬或是一個公主)

A Pig or a Princess(一隻豬或是一個公主)

If you dress up a pig, and decide to send her to the party, what will happen when the party is over?

如果你把一隻豬打扮的光新亮麗,然後讓他去參加派對;

scene 1
Piggy is Pat’s pet pig.
One day, Piggy and Pat were in the living room eating popcorn and watching TV.
Piggy saw a beautiful princess dressed in a pretty dress in a TV show.
Her eyes were wide open.

“See that elegant princess on TV?
How charming and pretty she is!
I want to be like her, I want to dress up like her.”

他為她找到最頂級的絲質洋裝給她穿上;

scene 4
He coated her eyelashes with mascara, long and curly.
He bought her a pair of name brand sunglasses.

attachments/200812/9304201686.jpg

scene 5
He picked up the newest fashion color lipstick.
He was so proud of how she looked and sent her to the party.

attachments/200812/6292231186.jpg

scene 6
After the party was over, what would this pretty piggy do?
Would she care about her fine-polished pig hoof nails?
Would she mind if the make-up had been properly removed?
Would she pay any attention to the pretty curly eyelashes?
And where would she put her name brand sunglasses?

attachments/200812/5444739361.jpg

scene 7
No, she wouldn’t bother with any of these things.
Where do you think she’s going to relax herself?
The cozy bedsheet with lining?

attachments/200812/5872532135.jpg

scene 8
No, I guarantee that she would run back to her wonderful mud, as fast as she could.

attachments/200812/6813952055.jpg

scene 9
Rolling over in the mud, she would make herself all muddy and dirty.

scene 10
That’s the result of trying to dress up a pig and make her a princess!
No matter how much you try to dress it up, a pig’s still a pig.

attachments/200812/4746035073.jpg

Neither does it help to change the exterior of a person without changing his inner self.
It’s useless to try to dress up a pig to make her look like a princess!

005
He tried and tried but nothing seemed work.

006
He finally decided to give up.
He thought to himself” I’d better cover this dried well, so no one else would fall into the well again.

007
He called some friends and got some dirt and started to cover the well with dirt.

008
“What in the world is that” said Dannie.
“ Are they going to cover me with dirt?”

“ No, I don’t want to die. What should I do?”

011
Dannie was crying as hard as he could.
But it didn’t take long that he changed his thought.

012
Actually, he had not much time to think about it.
He just started to shake off the dirt on his back.

attachments/200812/1622740859.jpg
013
Little by little, but surely, he came higher and higher every time people put dirt into the well.

attachments/200812/4436760887.jpg

014
“Here I am!”
With a big smile on his face, he triumphantly walked out of the well.
Every body was surprised but surely happy to see him.

attachments/200812/4398504339.jpg
015
Just shook off the dirt on his back and not felt sorry for himself.
Dannie not only save his life but also gave everyone a good lesson—

016
Shake off whatever looks bad on you and let it be a foot stool instead a foot stone for you.

The interesting thing is: after Roger Bannister broke the record, more than 300 other runners had broken the four-minute-mile record!
Why was that?
Wasn’t the four-minute-mile a limit for human being?
No, it was just a barrier in the runners’ mind.
